Long-Term Running Goals:

Maintain my health and continuously seek to improve my fitness. Maybe someday get under 3:00 for marathon. More importantly, I'd like to figure out what my maximum ability is and reach that.

I'd also like to find the right balance in life and use running to enhance and improve myself.

I can't believe the week has mostly gone by already.  No running this morning.  Also, felt very tired when I woke up despite getting more sleep than I had been getting.

I'm going to hit the gym tonight for some light cross training on arc trainer and maybe some upper body weights to get the blood pumping.

P.M. - went to they Y after work.  Everyone went along.  Jenny helped out Andy on some of the machines and some weights.  I did a very conservatively paced 20 minutes on the elliptical machine.  No pain during (of course, but that is not what I am worried about).  I don't think there was any pain afterward either but my mind was playing tricks on me, too.

Mark, let me start by saying congratulations on an incredible race! I find your running accomplishments over the last two years inspirational. I had no idea about your injury because I haven't read your blog in a while. I have also been sidelined with a staph infection and now the flu. I would like to say you are treating your injury the right way. If you went out did some mileage, it could do more damage than good. I wish you the best of luck and want you to be successful on the Space Coast, so treat this the right way.
